Acesulfame K

Acesulfame K (acesulfame potassium or Ace K) is a non-caloric, high-intensity sweetener that is heat stable, even under moderately acidic or basic conditions, allowing its use in baking or in acidic products that require a long shelf life (i.e., carbonated beverages, fruit drinks) as well as sugar-free products such as chewing gum. As an alternative sweetener or artificial sweetener, it has many applications in the food, functional food and beverage industries.
