Listeria Prompts Seafood Dip, Mousse Recall

WASHINGTON—Montreal-based Charcuterie La Tour Eiffel is recalling all Summersweet seafood mousses and dips because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced last week.

The recall involves all lot numbers of Smoked Salmon & Spinach Mousse, Mousse smoked Salmon & Spinach, Mousse smoked salmon & dill, Crab & Roasted Red Pepper Dip, Lobster & shrimp Dip, Smoked Salmon & Artichoke dip, Crab & Fine Herb Dip and Mardi Gras shrimp Dip.

The affected products are packaged in various sizes and sold in retail outlets in California, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Texas.
