MOMENCE, Ill.—Van Drunen Farms (VDF) offers the all-natural flavor of lime in its new Freeze-Dried Lime Powder designed to add a tart, citrus boost to food and beverage varieties.

The product lends the nutritional profile of limes, high in vitamin C and calcium, to foods. Freeze-dried Lime Powder can be used to flavor gelatin products, sorbets, smoothies, cake mixes and powder drink mixes. It can also be used for savory applications like tortilla chips, snacks, soups, chili, sauces, salad dressings, condiments, marinades, seasoning mixes and rubs.

Citrus flavors are often used to reduce the amount of salt in a dish. The product works to add flavor, giving bland foods a kick and balancing overall flavors in dishes, while minimizing sodium.
