ST QUENTIN EN YVELINES, France—GEA Process Engineering France won Danone Canada’s Supplier of the Year award in the category Capital Investment.
“This prize means a great deal to us. We realized our first contract with Danone Canada in 2004 and since then, we have finalized several contracts successfully. The last one—the Danactive production line—is the reason we received this award. My belief is that the Supplier of the Year title will help us remain one of Danone’s favorite providers both now and in the future," said Managing Director Jean-Yves Seille from GEA Process Engineering France’s Liquid Processing Department.
Delphine Baro, Director of Raws & Packaging Sourcing for Danone Canada, said: “We have remarkable respect for our business partners and the annual Danone Supplier of the Year Awards are one of the various ways for us to show our gratitude for the contributions they make to our success."
The performance of suppliers was evaluated by Danone’s cross-functional teams and was based on work and projects that took place in 2010. The suppliers were judged on numerous criteria: improvements in environmental sustainability, quality & safety, improvements in cost, accelerating the ‘time to market’ of new or renovated products, boosts in innovation, protection of competitive advantage, and the demonstration of shared values in the relationship with Danone.
