MARKOVCI, Slovenia—Vitiva appointed David Howard as the Regional Sales Director for its UK office. Howard has more than 25 years experience in the food ingredient industry, including past positions with with Raps GmbH and Huegli UK Ltd.
“Howard will open new horizons for Vitiva and will lead us to strengthen our position in the food and beverage market in the UK," says Ohad Cohen, CEO of Vitiva. “He will provide our clients all the required support and attention, and help them initiate product from the R&D stage to the finished stage, without the inclusion of synthetic preservatives."
The 2010 decision by EFSA to accept carnosic acid and carnosol-based rosemary extracts as safe and natural alternatives to synthetic antioxidants increased the awareness of Vitiva’s extensive line in the UK, especially since British consumers became more sensitive to synthetic preservatives and increased the demand for clean-label food and beverage products. “This move allows food manufacturers to significantly expand their product portfolio by creating high quality and innovative products that also have a natural image," explains Howard.
