LA CROSSE, Wisc.—Main Street Ingredients announced Shawn Wegner as its new director of operations. Wegner has served as the company's plant manager since 2008, and has more than 21 years of food industry experience. Throughout his career, he has worked in a variety of capacities including lab testing, process development, production management and operations management. Wegner will replace Rudy Rott, who retired from his position as the company’s vice president of operations.
Main Street Ingredients’ President, Bill Schmitz, says of the transition, “It is with a heavy heart that we part ways with Rudy, who has no doubt been an integral part of the growth and success of Main Street. However, there is no one we would rather have step-up to the plate than Shawn. His intuition has proved to be an invaluable asset and his drive to continuously improve promises great things for our future."
