Spreadable Cheese Recalled over HVP

MONROE, Wis.—Emmi-Roth Käse USA voluntarily is recalling all Spreadables brand Crab Creole and Shrimp Scampi cheese spreads that may be contaminated with Salmonella. The spreads contain hydrolyzed vegetable protein (HVP), which was recalled on March 4.

The recall involves Spreadables’ Crab Creole and Shrimp Scampi cheese spreads sold in 7-ounce and 2-pound containers with various code dates.
