GENEVA, Switzerland— Givaudan released financials for the first nine months of 2009, reporting sales of CHF 3,025.5 million, an increase of 0.4 percent in local currency and a decrease of 3.9 percent in CHF. According to the company, it is on target to achieve announced savings of CHF 200 million by 2010.
On a division basis, sales in the Fragrance Division were down 0.4 percent for the first nine months of 2009, totaling CHF 1,387.6 million; however, sales are trending upward, with division sales growing 3.1 percent in the third quarter. The Flavour Division recorded sales of CHF 1,637.9 million, representing an increase of 1.1 percent. Sales in the Flavour Division are also on the rise, with growth of 2.9 percent in the third quarter.
