AVIGNON, France—Naturex announced revenues of € 54.4 million for the first half of 2009, up 13 percent on the first six months of 2008 (+3.7 percent in constant dollars), confirming the group’s ability to continue to turn out quarter-on-quarter growth despite a difficult economic climate and a high basis for comparison.
North America generated 60.2 percent of group sales over the period; the European Union (EU) accounted for 31.1 percent; and Asia increased 2.7 percent. Nutrition and health represented 65 percent of Naturex’s half-yearly revenues, compared to 29.1 percent for food and beverage, and 1.2 percent for personal care.
