Many film reviewers of the documentary “Food, Inc.” view the film as one-sided and are penning columns asking why the food industry did not participate in the film. The documentary that explores the purported dangers in America’s food supply chain, and addresses public health issues, the environment, and worker and animal rights, opened last week.
Food Product Design reported last week that major meat and poultry companies declined to be interviewed for the film; however, trade associations collaborated to create Web sites to counter the film’s claims.
