GENEVA, Switzerland—Vitafoods International and Finished Products Expo 2009 attracted more than 8,400 attendees, an 8 percent increase in total visitors over the 2008 event, according to show organizers. Additionally, more than 500 exhibitors filled the show floor, which was 15 percent larger than last year in total floor space.
Among the Vitafoods show highlights were a range of educational sessions, tasting events, exhibitor presentations, and an interactive discussion forum. Additionally, at the concurrent Finished Products Expo, attendees had the opportunity to vote for the new Tasting Bar Awards. Winners in the favorite functional drink category included Agrolabs Inc. for its Naturally Acai Xtra and Creamy Creation with its Forest Fruit low calorie diet meal replacement drink. In the favorite functional food category, NOW International won an award for its Almond Crunch Crunchy Clusters, VSI won for its fruit and fibre bar and Nutribio received an award for its meal replacement bars for weight management.
Vitafoods International and Finished Products Expo 2010 will be held again at Geneva Palexpo from May 18-20, 2010.
