FSIS Seeks Comments on Listeria Risk Assessment

WASHINGTON—USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service is requesting public comment on a draft quantitative food-safety risk assessment for Listeria monocytogenes that compares the risk of listeriosis from consumption of prepackaged ready-to-eat deli meat versus RTE meat that is sliced and packaged at retail, reported Meatingplace. Comments are due June 8.
