Americans Eating Out, Looking for Deals

MINNEAPOLIS—A recent Harris Interactive® survey conducted on behalf of Dairy Queen® revealed that, in spite of a tight economy, 46 percent of U.S. adults are dining at restaurants.

Eighty-nine percent of respondents take advantage of discounts, including value meals, coupons, frequent custom cards/membership programs, etc. According to the survey, when it comes to choosing a restaurant, 71 percent of adults choose a restaurant based on price and menu variety.
