Raw Ground Beef Sampling Begins

The Food Safety and Inspection Service issued Notice 80-08, informing inspection personnel that they are to “begin routine sampling of raw ground beef components (including raw beef patty components) other than beef manufacturing trimmings for E. coli O157:H7.”
