NEW YORK—Sleep apnea may be linked to a poor diet, according to a study published in Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine. According to Reuters, researchers found that study participants with “severe symptoms of sleep apnea generally ate diets higher in cholesterol and artery-clogging saturated fat.” Researchers concluded that dietary habits “may contribute to the increased risks of heart disease and stroke seen in people with sleep apnea,” Reuters reported.
