FDA Awards Grants To Increase Food, Feed Safety

WASHINGTON—The FDA awarded $5.2 million in grants October 1 to various regulatory agencies to enhance feed and food safety. The grants fund cooperative agreements for the Ruminant Feed Ban Support Program, the Food Safety and Security Monitoring for Food Emergency Response Network chemistry laboratories, Innovative Food Defense and the Rapid Response Team.
