HONG KONG—Some Heinz, Mars, Kraft, Lotte and Pizza Hut products in Asia and Europe have been found to contain traces of melamine.
In Hong Kong, Heinz baby cereals and crackers were found to contain levels of the chemical. In Taiwan, Pizza Huts’ grated cheese was found to contain traces of melamine. In Indonesia, PT Mars Foods was ordered by the government to pull 28 products from store shelves that may contain tainted Chinese milk. In the Philippines, authorities are investigating possible melamine contamination of Chinese flour. In Japan, Marudai Food recalled more than 300,000 buns and other products that were found to be contaminated.
