SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. ─ McDonald’s sales are up 4.5 percent despite reports that Americans are eating out less. The company attributes its growth to their “popular breakfast menu, the Olympic-themed Southern style chicken sandwich and biscuit promotion, and everyday affordability, with a special focus on beverages." McDonald’s also experienced growth internationally in regions including Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa. The company attributes menu variety, marketing and extended hours as the reasons behind its international growth.
