LONDON─The Institute of Food Science and Technology (IFST) updated its 2004 information statement on genetic modification and food. The statement covers issues relating to GM crops and foods containing them. It also expresses support for the responsible use of the technology, particularly technology related to the development of the "second generation" of GM crops.
