DSM Increases Prices on Beta-Carotene, Lycopene

KAISERAUGST, Switzerland— DSM Nutritional Products announced a global price increase for beta-carotene and lycopene. Further to recent announcements of price increases for fat-soluble vitamins, beta-carotene and lycopene marketed in the human nutrition industries will now increase in price by a minimum of 10 percent for all newly contracted business. According to the company, the price increases are driven by sharp increases in raw material prices, energy and transportation costs.
