Our Global Food Crisis Continues Unabated

As our ongoing food crisis continues, some of the hardest hit are at the lowest tier on our global economic ladder. In the wake of high food and fuel prices, the worldwide economy is spiraling downward. Adding insult to injury in developing countries, financial woes might translate into diminishing foreign aid.

According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, food is 50% more expensive than two years ago. Also, the UN World Food Program has stated that it doesn’t expect food prices to ever return to the low levels of the past.
