Nutritionists Suggest Product Labeling Fixes

When asked what they would change or clarify on food product labels in order to help consumers make better or more-educated purchase decisions, nutritionists and dieticians found several aspects that they would recommend. The points suggested for consideration include listing consistently realistic serving sizes, a clearer presentation of daily values (DV), daily recommended upper intake for sugar, caffeine content, more details on whole grains, and a visually identifiable indication, such as a score, noting the product’s relative contributions to health, among other options.
